March has been another inspiring month for our partner associations, each working on the front lines of marine and wildlife conservation. From protecting sea turtle nesting sites to cleaning beaches, restoring coral reefs, and educating local communities, their dedication never slows down.
In this monthly report, we shine a light on the impactful actions carried out in March by the organizations supported by Club Ocean. Their work is a reminder that real change happens through consistent effort and together, we're moving toward a healthier planet. 💙🌍
Education, Cleanup, and Turtle Ambulance
Dekafok x ClubOcean®
In March, Dekafok made exciting progress, preparations for the turtle ambulance are progressing and it should be operational for the turtle-laying season. The month was also marked by education, with 1,240 students from 24 schools learning about sea turtles and their protection. To celebrate World Water Day, they hosted a special session with a local water expert and awarded environmental volunteer badges to young participants. Finally, with the help of the municipality they removed 43 bags of waste from the beaches. 🐢🚑

SHARK GUARDIAN x ClubOcean®
This March, Shark Guardian has been busy preparing for their upcoming Thresher Shark Expedition, which will take place from May 12–18, 2025, on the tropical island of Malapascua, Philippines. Known as one of the world’s top diving destinations, Malapascua offers rare and consistent encounters with thresher sharks, deep-sea dwellers that rise to cleaning stations at dawn. This expedition will combine scientific exploration, awareness, and eco-tourism, bringing divers closer to these extraordinary creatures while promoting their protection and the preservation of the surrounding marine biodiversity. 🦈🌴

Tracking Ciao, the Young Common Dolphin
MORIGENOS x ClubOcean®
In March, Morigenos made exciting progress in monitoring Ciao, a young female common dolphin first documented in 2022. After disappearing for nearly a year, she was spotted again in the Gulf of Trieste, thanks to public reports and photos. Ciao is known for her curious behavior around marinas and boats, but Morigenos reminds everyone to observe responsibly and avoid interaction. Each sighting helps deepen scientific understanding of this rare species in the Adriatic, supporting their protection and future survival. 🐬📍
